What is your warranty? Columbia River Auto Glass, LLC warranties your installation to be water leak free as long as you own your vehicle, except leakage due to body deterioration, accidents, vandalism, self inflicted damage or acts of God.
I worry about my insurance premium going up, will that happen with a repair or replacement? Often, customers don't want to file a claim for auto glass repair or replacement. It is understandable, however broken or damaged glass is usually not your fault. It's what insurance companies call a "no-fault claim,” and usually doesn’t affect your premiums. Many insurance companies will waive your deductible if you have your windshield repaired instead of replaced.
Should I contact my agent or insurance company before I contact Columbia River Auto Glass, LLC? Not necessarily, you can call us and set an appointment, which will save you time when you contact your insurance company to file the claim.
Does my insurance company tell me where to go for replacement or repair? You have the right to choose the company of your choice for repairs and replacement. Your insurance company and/or the network they contract with do not have the right to tell you which auto glass company to use. In the auto glass industry this is called steering, which is against the law.
What is my Comprehensive Insurance Deductible? Your insurance policy may have a comprehensive insurance deductible and every policy varies, this is the amount you have to pay before insurance pays. To lower premiums, insured’s often increase their deductible, which increases their out of pocket expenses in the event of a claim. For example, if your deductible for comprehensive claims is $250 and your replacement is going to cost $230, then you would pay out of pocket for the replacement. However, if your deductible is $50 or $100 then you pay the deductible at the time of installation and the insurance company is billed contracted rates to the auto glass company providing the service.
What if I only have liability insurance? Liability insurance only covers damages to other vehicles, therefore repairing or replacing your glass will be your responsibility and not the insurance company’s. Columbia River Auto Glass, LLC offers competitive cash prices for customers without comprehensive insurance coverage or that would rather not submit a claim via insurance and we accept multiple payment options including cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
